Narendra Modi's Horoscope and Astrology Analysis

There were multiple birth dates (!) and birth times in circulation for Narendra Modi at the time of Indian elections of 2014. Later in 2015, I received reliable birthdata from a fellow astrologer who attests that this was personally given by Modi's elder brother to a former head of Jyotish department at Benares Hindu University. Moreover, this chart finally does make sense to me! I will share my views on this chart.

Let us look at rasi chart, which shows existence at the physical level. The 12th house of giving up is extremely powerful with 4 planets including Ketu (detachment) and Saturn (austerity). This is a highly detached and austere man. If there were no combinations of power, that alone could've made him a sannyasi (ascetic). In fact, he wanted to be one at a young age.

Moon is debilitated in Scorpio and near Mars who is in own sign. He is a pragmatic and  unemotional man of steely determination and ice cold stubbornness.

From Pranapada Lagna (vitality) in Cn, lagna and 5th lords are in 5th and 3rd house is strong with 4 natural malefics (when associated with 3 natural malefics, Mercury also becomes one). This shows someone with very powerful and focused life force and vitality (prana).

From Hora Lagna (wealth) in Sg, lagna lord is in marana karaka sthana. It does not show someone very wealthy. But raja yogas in the 10th house from it show someone who has access to a lot of resources and wealth in his work. In D-2 also, lagna lord is debilitated and 5 planets are in the 12th house of giving up. This is not a wealthy person or one who values wealth.

From Ghati Lagna (power) in Ar, lagna lord is in 7th house in own sign (longitude-wise) and 5 planets are in 5th house (longitude-wise) and there are multiple raja yogas. Also, 10th house from GL has the 9th lord (longitude-wise). This shows someone very powerful.

In D-10 also, lagna lord Saturn, 5th lord Mercury and 7th lord Sun are together in lagna, giving a powerful raja yoga. In fact, his elevation as PM of India occurred in Mercury-Sun antardasa (as per Vimsottari dasa from Moon of D-10).

Also, 10th and 3rd lord Mars in 3rd in moolatrikona in this D-10 shows someone with excellent drive and initiative. In fact, he is in the middle of Mercury-Mars antardasa. He will continue to engage in bold actions.

In D-27 (subconscious strengths and weaknesses at the instinct level), Moon and Venus are in watery sign Cn and aspect the 4th house of comforts. This gives an instinctive attraction for good clothes and beautiful things. Saturn, the karaka of 12th house, is in 12th house and that gives an instinct for austerity. Sun is another strong planet in D-27. He is in own sign and aspects the 5th house. This gives an instinct to lead and exert power over others.

In D-9, 7th lord of marriagen Sun is in marana karaka sthana in 12th house with 8th and 12th lords. This shows giving up marriage and relationship. The 4th lord of marital bliss is debilitated in 8th and that shows no marital bliss.

In D-20, 5th and 12th lord Mars closely aspects lagna from 7th. The 9th lord Sun and the 10th lord Mercury are closely conjoined in the 3rd house and aspect the 9th house. This dharma-karmadhipati yoga shows a karma yogi who works for the society. Venus and Ketu in own sign in 12th house, in a trine from Saturn, form Tapaswi yoga. He is a very detached person with devotion to a fierce deity, who does a lot of good to society with detachment.

As per Vimsottari dasa from Moon of D-20, 10th lord Mercury's dasa runs till 2025. He will do good to society. In the next dasa of Ketu (12th lord in 12th), he may leave all this work and retire into a life of austere sadhana.

Based on Vimsottari dasa from Moon of D-10 (career), Mercury mahadasa runs till August 2024. Mercury is the 5th lord in lagna giving raja yoga with lagna and 7th lords. He will continue to be powerful till the end of this mahadasa. Current antardasa of Mars (3rd lord in 3rd) results in some bold and aggressive actions.

Rahu antardasa from Feb 2017 to Sept 2019 will be a period of machinations, scandals and intrigue. But, Rahu being the lagna lord in 5th, he will prevail.

Especially, in D-10 of 2018-19 annual Tajaka (solar return) chart, 5th lord Mars is in moolatrikona in 10th. In D-10 of 2018-19 annual TP (soli-lunar return) chart, 5th lord Mars is in 5th in moolatrikona, while lagna lord aspects lagna from 7th.

He will face some criticism and tough fights, but public support to his bold reforms will see him prevail in the next parliament elections and win a second term as Prime Minister.

After the second term, he may win the third term and then leave politics to pursue a spiritual path.
