Its important for two people to have similar goals & attitudes towards life so that there is a common  foundation to share & build upon.This provides a long-term supportive structure for the relationship to operate within.Therefore,one needs to judge both the person’s basic motivation & direction in life,their important goals,their mental,emotional & spiritual inclinations in their respective charts.
Generally connections between partners occur when there is an exchange between the male & female planets.A woman surrenders her male planets Sun & Mars to a man & a man surrenders his female planets Moon & Venus to her. If these male planets in a female’s chart connect with a Man’s female planets by aspect,exchange or associations then,it usually forms the basis for mutual attraction.The Sun & Moon connection show a deep affinity for any kind of relationship,not necessarily sexual.The Sun & Moon should not be in 6th,8th,12th signs from each other.
Its good,if the Moons in two charts share a strong relationship,either in mutual aspect or if placed in trines from one another & if in friendly signs to each other.This will give partners emotional affinity & an understanding of each other’s mental focus.
If there is a close connection between the lunar nodes(Rahu-Ketu) of both the natives then,it can indicate an intense connection.If one’s node is in the other’s ascendant,or connecting with their Sun or Moon,or if the nodes exchange it shows a deep astral connection.This indicates deep karmic influences bringing the two people together.

Mars-Mercury combination in both the charts should be avoided. Mars can cause conflict if aspecting the other person’s Moon or if Mars in both charts are in opposition.
If benefic planets like Jupiter,Venus & Mercury occupy good houses like the 1st,5th,7th or 9th house in the other person’s chart or aspect these places or important planets like Sun,Moon,Ascendant lord,it will give ease,harmony,opportunity & positive growth for the other person.

The Navamsha charts should also be studied during match-making.
